BE INSPIRED!

Some People are born stars,  others rise to become stars and some simply contribute their quo ta from their little corners just to make the World a better place.
The next person Making A Difference in the world is Samuel Twum.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
Samuel is an old student of the University of Ghana. He read Computer Science and Maths. He also attended the National Institute of Information Certificate Program in Business. Samuel had his primary education in DEKS Educational Institute

INSPIRATION
Like any other person making a difference in the World, Samuel is inspired by a host of people and things. According to Samuel, his greatest motivation comes from “the most read, most impactful and greatest book ever written; THE BIBLE”. From the Bible, he is able to decipher his God-given purpose which pioneers his vision and every action.

Aside the Bible, he is inspired also by his parents and the state of Africa including reading from some other good materials.

ACHIEVEMENTS
Samuel is full of motivation and positivism. He is a motivational speaker and works with INVENTS. He also speaks during APOSA (Apostolic Church Ghana Students and Associates) meetings and other youth oriented programs. Aside motivating, Samuel’s an educationist and actively involved in ministry. He is a software developer and currently works as a T.A in the Department of Computer Science, University of Ghana and serve as the Youth Leader in the Apostolic Church Ghana, C5 Assembly.
As said earlier, he adds up his little quo ta to make the world a better place. He is much more focused on influencing people on an individual note rather than a group perspective.

CHALLENGES
Of course every set goal in life comes with its own challenges and Samuel’s is no exception. Let’s hear from his own “mouth!”
“My greatest challenge has always been to spur myself on to keep on moving on. Not coiling in myself and motivating myself to think that I'm powerful beyond measure. I hold the assertion that no one thing can discourage or demotivate you as much as your mind can. Thus, our main challenge is deciding what we feed our minds on.
FUTURE PLANS
“My plans for the future are actually put in several categories (spiritual, social, professional etc). In a nutshell, I aspire to cause a paradigm shift in the African community and condition the continent towards great successes.

Congratulations Samuel Twum. More grease to your elbows. She Magnate is proud of you.

INVENTS

1.     ABOUT THE SHE MAGNATE PROJECT
INTRODUCTION
The term ‘SHE MAGNATE’ is picked from the word ‘She’ as used to relate to the female and ‘Magnate’ a reference to an entrepreneur or Business Leader.
The Concept is to train Ladies in areas of LEADERSHIP and ENTREPRENEURSHIP.
DURATION
15th January to 15th April
WHY THE NEED?
We have identified a strong demand for Leadership and Entrepreneurship in this age. There has been growing needs for individuals to establish their own business and exhibit pragmatic leadership.
WHY THE LADY?
Why not Lady? Ladies from our perspective are key players in the society. We have chosen to start this project with ladies with the hope that they would be influential in all facets of lives they find themselves in. This project may not seek to solve the challenges of marginalization of ladies in society or bridge the gap in male female ratio, but rather see ladies as channels of influence in the leadership and business arena.
HOW WOULD THE PROCESS BE LIKE?
INVENTS have selected ladies (Hub Leaders) in various communities and institutions across Ghana. These ladies are to organize a maximum of twelve (12) ladies including themselves. From here, INVENTS would work with the Hub Leader to decide on the venue (Magnate Hub or Hub). The ladies (She Magnates) would choose a convenient time (Hub Schedule) for meeting.  The duration would be a minimum of 2 hours and a maximum of 1 hour. Meeting would be once in a week. INVENTS would send facilitators (Resource Persons) to the various meeting places (Hubs) to go train the ladies. The resource person will be from various professions: Doctors, lawyers, Engineers, Barbers, Tailors, Fashion Experts, Human Rights Advocates, Motivational Speakers, Pastors, Entrepreneurs, Investors and you name it, to visit the Hubs on agreed periods to train the ladies.
FIELD MEETING
There would be a lot of field activities to engage the ladies. The ladies would visit several companies and industries for tour sessions to learn

JOB OPENINGS AND INTERNSHIP
Under our already existing ‘Invents Internship Scheme’, the Ladies would be placed in various organizations after a screening process at the end of the 3 month schedule.

THE SHE MAGNATE CONFERENCE
There would be a conference at the end of the period where the She magnates would be expected to demonstrate or showcase what they have learnt at the end of the process. While some ladies would be expected to have registered their businesses, others would be in the processes, whiles a few others would have started great projects too to impact their society. There would be investors present to invest in remarkable ideas and business of the She Magnates.

RATE
It is our expectation to make this process FREE in order to reach out to a great number of ladies.

FINANCE
The Project will mainly be financed by INVENTS, and would be supported in cash and kind by other sponsors

ESTIMATED BUDGET
INVENTS is yet to settle on the actual cost that will be involved.

SHENTREPRENEUR

So first to be featured on our Shentrepreneur label is Awura Abena Agyeman and she is M.A.D. (Making A Difference) in the society.
She was birthed with volumes of inspiration. A very dedicated lady she is. Ever heard of Wear Ghana?? Well she is the Co-owner of Wear Ghana and a great "Shentrepreneur".

EDUCATION
An old student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (K.N.U.S.T.)

WEAR GHANA
WEAR GHANA started as an aside when Ewurabena was still doing a full time job with Pro Credit. It started by a motivation she had from one friend of hers who saw potential in her interest for designs and purchased a whole range of fashion Books with different styles and materials for fashion designing. She eventually quit Pro Credit because she had much passion for fashion designing than "Business".
What started as an own made "one-design-shirt" for this same friend on his birthday has gradually become a giant in the Fashion industry promoting Made-In-Ghana materials.
She eventually made it known to the "now-owner" of Wear Ghana, Angorkor Nai-Kwabe, who happens to be her roommate way back in K.N.U.S.T.

INSPIRATION
I bet you want to know what inspires her right to make those beautiful designs on clothes. Three things are Her inspiration.
Her biggest inspiration to my surprise is not music, leisure or any other norm. Her biggest inspiration is God! She believes her life is in His infallible hands and that gives her a boldness that she says she would ordinarily not have.

Guess you've ever heard the phrase, "there's No place like home." Note the difference between a house and a home. Yea! The people in your house make the difference between a home and a house. Ewurabena draws inspiration from her family too because they have so much faith in her. As to how that happens,  i guess you can visit her at work to see some designs and like her facebook page WearGhana
Or Twitter......@WEARGHANA and you will understand better how her family inspires her.

Never let go of your past because to Awura Abena her past also serves as an inspiration. Knowing where she's  come from and where she's going actually serves as a stepping stone for her to see a brighter future.

ACHIEVEMENTS
Now lets delve into what your itchy ear wants to hear.
Within the one year of the existence as a brand, Wear Ghana has built a loyal client base.
Their designs have been patronized by celebrities like
Okyeame Kwame,
Kafui Dei
Naa Ashorkor,
Kojo Yankson of The Joy Super Morning Show
Bernard Avle, Jessica, Richard Sky, Akoto Boateng all From Citi Fm
Miss Malaika 2014 and a lot more gurus of his nation.
WearGH has been on Media platforms such as Joy Fm, Citi fm, TV3 and Multi Tv.
Wear Ghana has been featured in a lot more platforms such as Joy Bridal Fair mag, Neighbourhood gong and many blogs including this
Are you wondering How old Wear Ghana is?
This beautiful concept celebrated its 1st birthday in November, 2014.
Guess u are as dumbfounded as I became at this revelation.

and hey! i nearly forgot to give you this opportunity. Wear Ghana is hiring....yipeeee . so call the numbers and hook up with Wear Ghana today!

CHALLENGES
Hear from the horse's own Mouth
"These are stepping stones. Our biggest challenge has been building a strong company and brand. And we are working tirelessly to achieve this. "

According to Awura Abena, "when you spot an opportunity to make it,  never let go of it. Work on it as an "aside" and see its yielded results".

Excellent job done Awura Abena.

She Magnate and Invents are proud of you. Kudos!
